On Tuesday 13th the gardens at the Manor House, Hinton St. Mary, will be open for DGT members, family & guests.

There are several acres of lawns, borders, topiary, ponds, and 100’s of roses that should be in full flower.

The gardens are well looked after and gardeners will be working and happy to answer any questions.

Visit: Manor Farm Hampreston

Visit starts at 2pm. Tickets £12 (limited spaces)

The visit will start at 2pm with a garden talk led by Anne Trehane with free time to explore the grounds followed by refreshments afterwards. Manor Farm is a traditional farmhouse garden, designed and cared for by three generations of the Trehane family. Noted for its herbaceous borders and rose beds within box and yew hedges, shrubbery, water and bog garden.

Visit: Edmondsham House and Gardens

Visit starts at 10.30am. Tickets £8.00 (limited spaces)

Six acres of mature gardens, with wide herbaceous borders planted for seasonal colour and interest which surround the 16th century house. The large Victorian walled garden and kitchen garden is productive and has been managed for many years by Andrew Haynes.

Our visit will commence with a guided walk and talk of the Walled Garden with Rachel, the Under Gardener whom Andrew has trained up. Following this, people will have free time to explore the rest of the grounds at their own leisure.

The garden visit is from 2.00 - 4.00 pm and will include a guided tour.

Belcombe Court is a stunning Grade 1 listed Georgian house on the outskirts of Bradford-on- Avon in Wiltshire. The 15th C house was extended and improved in 1734 by John Wood the Elder, who was known for designing many of the finest buildings in Bath, such as The Circus and the North & South Parades.

The house as seen today dates from 1687 and is a classic William & Mary style with six original bays, and a later wing added in c1750 –. The house now sits very comfortably in the middle of the estate, at the centre of its own parkland landscape – which has recently been restored and enhanced to include wood pasture, new parkland railings that flow along the contours, a haha, and planting to complement the existing trees and woodland.
