By kind permission of Dan Pearson and Huw Morgan

We have been on the waiting list for about 4 years to go to visit Dan Pearson’s garden!  Now the time has arrived. There are not many places available, so book early if you can.

Since 2002 Dan has designed gardens and has given lectures around the world, including in the U.K., Italy, U.S. and Japan. He designed a new courtyard garden for The Garden Museum in London. He has curated six show gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show including the 'Laurent-Perrier Chatsworth Garden', inspired by the Chatsworth estate in Derbyshire, which won a gold medal and 'Best in Show'.

Pearson was the horticultural advisor for Thomas Heatherwick's cancelled Garden Bridge, over the Thames in London.

In 2010 Pearson and his partner Huw Morgan restored a late 18th-century house  with 20 acres of land outside Bath as their home and workplace, called Hillside. They will conduct a guided tour for us.

Meet and park at Special Plants seven miles north of Bath and four miles south of Junction 18 on the M4. Greenways Lane turns west off of the A46 100 yards south of the A420 roundabout. They are not in Cold Ashton village. It is about a mile down a very narrow winding lane. Please drive with care. There is plenty of room to park and turn around when you arrive.

You will be taxi’d to Dan Pearson’s Garden from here. Please be available to be taxied from 1.00pm

Special Plants are open from 11.00am – 5.00pm.

Derry Watkins the owner of Special Plants has a fabulous garden as well and you can buy tickets to visit this from 11.00am. Alternatively you can just turn up for entry to Hillside Garden at 1.00pm. Her plants will be on sale mainly before Dan’s garden visit

She will stay open for us afterwards to collect plants or last minute ‘must-haves’
