Shrubs are more than just hard working structure plants. By choosing the right combination of shape, colour and texture, a group of shrubs can be mellow, uplifting, calming or indulgent. You can create any style from country garden to contemporary urban courtyard, from seaside cottage to tropical paradise
Most of us choose our plants on their individual merits; too often their appearance at time of purchase. Few think about how one shrub works in association with its partners. The Creative Shrub Garden shows how to make simple, effective planting combinations whatever the size of your garden or the situation.
